4000rpm has recently completed a study for the Department for Education and Skills into the possibilities for schools to buy and pay electronically. The project was run in conjunction with Barclays Bank (which issued payment cards to staff in 25 pilot schools), Lancashire County Council and Martelit, an education specialist.
